The e-Gizmo Inductive Proximity Sensor Module is a compact metal detection solution designed to sense both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, such as iron and aluminum, at a typical range of 1 mm. Operating at a nominal 5V DC (4.7V–6.0V range), it features a threaded cylindrical probe on a flexible cable for easy mounting in tight mechanical assemblies.

The module provides dual signal outputs to suit various applications: an analog output (0.8V to 2.8V typ.) for variable proximity monitoring, and an active-LOW digital output that sits HIGH by default and drops LOW with an onboard LED indicator when metal is detected. Ideal for position sensing, limit switching, and object counting in microcontroller-based systems.
