The Air780EX-3.3 is a variant of the Air780E LTE Cat.1 bis communication module. While both share the core cellular architecture and compact form factor, the key differences in the Air780EX-3.3 version include:

3.3V Native Logic & Supply Support:
Unlike the standard Air780E—which natively operates its I/O logic at 1.8V and standard supply up to 3.8V/4.2V—the Air780EX-3.3 integrates internal level shifting and power management, allowing direct 3.3V logic supply and I/O communication without needing external bi-directional level translators.

Direct Microcontroller Compatibility:
The standard 3.3V GPIO level enables seamless plug-and-play interfacing with standard 3.3V MCUs (e.g., STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico) directly over UART without voltage translation overhead.

On board Power Supply Regulator unit:
Allows the breakout board to work with input supply voltage of +6V to +12VDC.
